We keep this page factual. The payment options available to you are always the ones shown on the checkout page at the moment you order, and we only list a specific payment method here once it is connected and tested on our checkout.
\n
\n
The short version
\n
\n
Where to see options: the payment step of checkout shows every method currently available for your order.
\n
Currency: all prices are in US dollars (USD) and you are charged in USD.
\n
When you are charged: when you place your order.
\n
Security: payment details are entered into the payment provider’s secure system over an encrypted connection. We never see or store your full card number.
\n
Refunds: processed back to the same payment method within 7 days of approval.
\n
Extra fees: we do not add payment surcharges. Shipping to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand is free.
\n
\n
\n
1. Which payment methods you can use
\n
The payment methods available on tumblerlane.com are displayed in the payment section of the checkout page, after you enter your address. What you see there is what we accept for that order. If a method is not shown at checkout, we cannot accept it for that order, even if you have seen it on another website.
\n
We are currently setting up our payment provider, and this page will be updated with the specific methods, for example cards or a digital wallet, as soon as they are connected and have passed a test order on our live checkout. Until then, please rely on what the checkout page shows. We do not display payment brand logos on the site for methods that are not active, because we would rather not suggest an option you cannot actually use.
\n
1.1 Methods we do not accept
\n
\n
Cash, cheques or money orders sent by post.
\n
Bank transfers arranged by email. We will never send you bank details by email and ask you to transfer money; if you receive a message like that claiming to be from us, do not pay and forward it to support@tumblerlane.com.
\n
Gift cards from other retailers.
\n
Payment by phone. We do not take card details over the phone or by email.
\n
\n
2. Currency and what you are charged
\n
Every price on the site is in US dollars, and orders are charged in US dollars wherever you live. If you are in Canada, Australia or New Zealand, or your card is in a currency other than USD, your bank or card issuer converts the charge into your currency using its own exchange rate, and it may add a foreign transaction fee. That conversion and any fee are set by your bank, not by us. If you want to know the exact amount in your currency, check with your bank or card issuer before you order.
\n
The total you pay is shown on the checkout page before you confirm. It includes the item prices and any tax shown at checkout. Shipping to all four countries we serve is free. Import duties or taxes that the destination country may charge when a parcel arrives in Canada, Australia or New Zealand are not part of the checkout total; they are collected by the authorities or the carrier on delivery, as explained in our Shipping & Delivery policy.
\n
3. When your payment is taken
\n
Your payment is authorised and taken when you place your order. You will receive an order confirmation email straight away. If the payment provider needs extra verification, for example a one-time code from your bank, you will be asked to complete it during checkout; the order is only placed once that step succeeds.
\n
If your payment fails, no order is created, and you can try again or choose a different method. Occasionally a failed payment can appear on your statement as a “pending” authorisation for a short time; it is released by your bank automatically and is not a completed charge.
\n
4. How your payment is kept secure
\n
\n
Encrypted connection: the entire site uses HTTPS, so information between your browser and our site is encrypted. Look for the padlock in your browser’s address bar.
\n
Provider-handled card data: card details are entered into the payment provider’s secure fields and processed by that provider under its security standards. They are not stored on our servers and we cannot see your full card number.
\n
Fraud screening: the payment provider may screen orders for signs of fraud. Occasionally an order is held for a quick manual check by us; if that happens, we email you and do not ship until it is cleared.
\n
No sensitive data by email: we will never ask you to send your card number, security code, one-time passcodes or passwords by email, chat or phone.
\n
\n
5. Billing address and shipping address
\n
Your billing address should match the address your bank holds for your card or account. Your shipping address can be different, which is useful when you send a water bottle to a friend or a tumbler to your workplace. If the billing details do not match what your bank holds, the payment may be declined. If you see an error, double-check the billing ZIP or postal code first; it is the most common cause.
\n
6. Declined payments
\n
If a payment is declined, the checkout shows a message from the payment provider. Common reasons include:
\n
\n
Common reasons a payment is declined and what to try
\n

Reason

What usually helps

\n
\n

Billing address or ZIP/postal code does not match the bank’s records

Re-enter the billing address exactly as it appears on your statement

\n

Card expired or details mistyped

Check the card number, expiry date and security code

\n

Bank blocked an international or online payment

Approve the payment in your banking app or contact your bank, then try again

\n

Verification step not completed

Complete the one-time code or bank app approval when prompted

\n

Insufficient available funds

Use a different method or try again later

\n
\n
\n
We cannot see the specific reason your bank declined a payment, and we cannot override a decline. If several attempts fail, contact your bank first, then email us if you need help completing your order.
\n
7. Refunds to your payment method
\n
When a refund is approved, whether for a return, a damaged or lost parcel, or a cancellation, we process it back to the payment method you used for the order within 7 days of approval. We cannot send refunds to a different card or account. Your bank then posts the credit to your statement, which can take a few extra business days depending on the bank. If you used a card in a currency other than USD, the amount you see may differ slightly from the original charge because exchange rates change; we refund the full USD amount due. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
\n
8. Price differences on exchanges and changes
\n
If you change an order within 24 hours, or exchange an item after delivery, and the new item costs more, we email you a secure payment link for the difference. Please only pay through that link, which opens our checkout or the payment provider’s page on a secure connection. If the new item costs less, the difference is refunded to your original payment method within 7 days.
\n
9. Charges you do not recognise
\n
If you see a charge from us that you do not recognise, first check whether someone in your household placed an order, perhaps as a gift. Then email us with the date and amount of the charge and the last four digits of the card, never the full number. We will look it up and tell you what it relates to. If it is not yours, we will cancel any unshipped order and help you with the next steps, including reporting it to your bank.
\n
10. Disputes and chargebacks
\n
If something is wrong with an order, please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank. Most problems, such as a late parcel or a missing lid, are resolved within days through our normal replacement and refund process, which is faster than a card dispute. If you have already opened a dispute, tell us; we will provide the order details to the payment provider and will not ask you to withdraw it. Opening a dispute does not stop us from helping you directly at the same time.
\n
11. Taxes and invoices
\n
Any tax that applies to your order is calculated and shown on the checkout page before you pay. Your order confirmation email is your receipt and lists each item, its price and the order total. If you need a separate invoice for a business purchase, for example tumblers for an office team, email us with your order number and the business name to show, and we will send one.
\n
12. Buying for a team or event
\n
If you want to order a larger quantity of tumblers or bottles, for example for a sports team or an office, please contact us before ordering. We will confirm availability in the capacities and colours you need. Payment for team orders is still made through our standard checkout, so the same security and refund protections apply.
\n
13. Questions about checkout
\n
Can I pay in Canadian, Australian or New Zealand dollars?
\n
Not at the moment. Prices and payments are in USD and your bank converts the amount.
\n
Do you charge a fee for paying by card?
\n
No. We do not add any payment surcharge. Your bank may charge its own foreign transaction fee if your card is not in USD.
\n
Is my payment safe if I check out as a guest?
\n
Yes. Guest and account checkouts use the same secure payment process.
\n
Can I split a payment across two cards?
\n
Not in a single checkout. If you need to, place two smaller orders; shipping is free on each.
\n
Why is there no “Pay later” option?
\n
We only offer the payment options that are connected and tested on our checkout. If an instalment or pay-later service becomes available, it will appear at checkout and we will add it to this page, together with any terms that apply to it.
\n
I was charged but did not get a confirmation email.
\n
Check your spam or promotions folder first. If there is nothing after an hour, email us the time of the order and the last four digits of the card. We will confirm whether the order went through, and if a payment was taken without an order being created, we refund it.
\n
14. Talk to a person
\n
If something goes wrong at checkout, email support@tumblerlane.com or open a support ticket with a description or screenshot of the error message (with any card details hidden). We reply within 1 business day. You may also find our FAQs, Terms of Service and Privacy Policy helpful.
